Knowing people will be walking in and out of your establishment all day long, the last thing you want is a faulty front door.
A Ferguson Enterprises supply house in Philadelphia took this to heart when they noticed their existing front door was starting to wear. They contacted Cypress Door & Glass LLC for a replacement knowing we could get the job done right and fast!
All our client had to do was pick the look they wanted – Cypress took care of the rest! Prioritizing both quality and aesthetics, the new storefront doors and transom frames were from YKK AP. Our clients picked medium stile doors with 10-inch bottom rails and 1/4″ glazing.
They also chose the Norton 1600 series door closers, which our team adjusted to last as long as possible.
Speaking with the customer, we determined standard offset pivot hinging would not be adequate for this entrance. Upgrading the hinge to concealed geared hinges, also know as Roton hinges, provides a significant increase in strength. This will ensure the maintenance costs for repairs is kept to a minimum. Concealed geared hinges also eliminate the common emergency door repair scenario created by an offset pivot failure.
The new medium stile doors had the entrance looking sleeker already! What really added to the aesthetics though were the door frames. Since the existing jambs were wide, we carefully applied stucco after the frames were installed. Our technicians then installed lumber on the perimeter of the opening and capped it in brake metal to match the metal doors.
For the final touch, we caulked from the brake metal to the stucco. We also caulked from the frame to the brake metal.
The newly installed supply house storefront doors are both visually appealing and sure to last for years to come!
